COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH: We opened for one Sunday, and how nice it was to be together

Church3

Covenant Presbyterian Church issued the following announcement on Oct 16.

We opened for one Sunday, and how nice it was to be together. But now the spread of Covid-19 in our community has brought Clark County to level 3 (red), and so in accordance with the Safety Committee protocols, we will close the church building again, and return to virtual worship this Sunday.

So the service will be live-streamed at 10:30 am on Covenant's YouTube channel.  You can link to it here:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKEwYy5lIFq6Lr7AC_BGYNgThis Sunday we move to part 5 of our series on the Lord’s Prayer, “Your will be done.”  What is the connection between the two petitions, “Your kingdom come,” and “Your will be done?”  When we pray “Your will be done,” what exactly are we committing ourselves to?

These are just some of the questions I will be addressing in the sermon.  Scripture texts are Mark 3:31-35 and Matthew 26:36-46.  Special music on the piano will be by Bob Agle and Trudy Faber will be playing the organ.  I look forward to having you with us for virtual worship.  God bless.-Pastor Stan
