Clark State College faculty and student services will hold an event for junior and senior students at Springfield High School and the Springfield School of Innovation. The event will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 24 in the Springfield High School gymnasium.

“We have over 20 program coordinators who will share career opportunities with the students,” said Dr. Travis Binkley, dean of enrollment services at Clark State. “It is our desire to be their College of first choice!”

Springfield High School principal, Lisa Cunningham, and the School of Innovation Principal, Kathy Lee, collaborated with Clark State on this event.

“We have a focus on showcasing our great academic programs that lead to family sustainable wages for students,” said Binkley. “Careers in healthcare with our Medical Laboratory Technology or in manufacturing with our Industrial Technology programs are in high demand and sometimes students are not as familiar with these options.”

Binkley said Clark State aims to educate students on their options and excite them about their future with this event.

“We recognize that the best way to connect students with a program is to connect them directly to our awesome faculty,” he said. “In addition to academic programs, we are bringing our student services like financial aid and accessibility services to answer any questions about the transition to college. Our faculty and staff are very excited about this opportunity to connect with future students.”
