Bellefontaine High School recently named its Seniors of the Month.
Name: Sophie Adelsberger
Parents: Eric and Krista Adelsberger
Address: Bellefontaine
School activities and awards: National Honor Society Treasurer, Cross Country Co-Captain, French Club Vice President, French National Honor Society Officer, Marching Band, Symphonic Band, District Band, Pep Band, and Symphonic Choir. I’ve earned the Academic Excellence Award, Outstanding Academic Award for Level III in World Language, Honda Breakfast Award for Algebra II, 2020-2021 Central Buckeye Conference Academic Honors, and 2021-2022 Central Buckeye Conference Academic Honors.
If I were principal for a day: I would let everyone bring their pet to school.
Favorite school memory: The fashion show my French class did or playing ultimate frisbee with my cross country team.
People who have been an inspiration to me: My sister Abbi and Mrs. Mount.
Lately I’ve been reading: The Awakening by Kate Chopin.
My advice to parents: Let your kids try new things even if they’re not the best at it. It’s OK for them to do an activity for fun and not always be perfect.
My biggest regret: Not joining the swim team.
Next year: I will be attending Ohio University to major in pre-physical therapy.
Name: Landon Kelley

People who have been an inspiration to me: My parents, my brother, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Mrs. Mount, Mrs. Clinehens, Michael Jordan, and Mason DeLong.
Lately I’ve been reading: Recursion by Blake Crouch.
My advice to parents: Teach respectfulness to kids very early.
My biggest regret: Not watching the first three games of the 2016 NBA Finals.
Next year: I will be attending college to study computer science.
