A Unit was dispatched to the Hugh Taylor Apartments on 1707 E. High on a report of an apartment fire. The 2nd alarm was called and the responding companies were E5, E6, E7, T4, T8, R1, M1, M6, Battalion 1, Chief 3, and Box 27. First due companies found a fire on the 3rd floor and, connected to the standpipe and attacked the fire while the other companies searched the 7 story building. The fire was quickly controlled and confined to the apartment of origin, and there was only one victim treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. The cause of this fire was unattended cooking. This was the second 2nd alarm fire at this address in thirteen months.
