All Clark State College campuses will remain closed following a bomb threat called in to the college’s Brinkman Education Center (BEC) on Thursday afternoon.

Clark State immediately evacuated the downtown Springfield building with assistance from the Springfield Police Division. All other campus locations were then closed to ensure the safety of faculty, staff and students.

“Clark State College takes the safety and security of our students, employees, and community members extremely seriously,” said Dr. Jo Alice Blondin, president of Clark State. “Out of an abundance of caution, we closed all campuses for the day to assess the threat fully in concert with law enforcement. We will keep our community updated as we learn more, but right now, everyone is evacuated and safe.”

The FBI and Wright Patterson Air Force Base Bomb Squad are assisting with the investigation. All Clark State campus locations are expected to reopen Monday, February 20, once all campus buildings have been cleared.

Clark State has campus locations in Springfield, Beavercreek, Bellefontaine and Xenia.
