Hollingsworth, a two-time graduate of Malone with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, brings to Malone 20 years of fundraising experience at Akron Children’s Hospital.
After his first graduation from Malone in 2002 Hollingsworth joined Akron Children’s and proceeded to be promoted six times in the organization, gaining responsibility within the institutions’ highly successful fundraising operation.
Most recently he worked as the senior major gifts officer and was the point person on several multi-million dollar gifts for hospital priorities. Hollingsworth's experience in planned giving, capital campaign development, donor relations, grants, corporate sponsorships, annual fund, event planning, and volunteer coordination makes him the perfect candidate for his new senior staff role.
“Brian comes highly recommended from his colleagues at Children’s and by many members of the Greater Akron community who know him well through his work,” said Greg Miller, president. “Brian is inheriting a very strong team made of dedicated individuals who are deeply committed to achieving our ambitious goals.”
Hollingsworth, with his wife, Ryan '03, and daughter, reside in Uniontown.
