The Blue Lion Family was recently recognized by the Ohio Department of Education and the Southern Ohio Educational Service Center at the annual Four County Board Meeting!

-- High Progress School of Honor - Belle Aire Intermediate SchoolThe Schools of Honor program recognizes schools that have sustained high achievement and substantial progress while serving a significant number of economically disadvantaged students.

-- ODE Momentum Award - Washington Middle SchoolPresented by the State Board of Education and recognizes districts and schools for exceeding expectations in student growth for the year.  Schools must earn straight A’s in all Value-Added measures on the state report card.

-- Purple Star Schools - Washington High SchoolThe Purple Star Award recognizes schools that show an outstanding commitment to serving students and families connected to our nation’s military.  WHS originally earned the Purple Star recognition in 2018-2020 and was renewed for the 2022-2024 school years.

--- Additionally, Washington Court House City Schools partnered with SOESC to recognize Mr. Dale Lynch, Leigh N. Cannon, MPH, Ashley Roberts, RN, and Fayette County Public Health-OHIO, for their significant contributions to the education of our community.
