We look forward to spending extended time with your student over the summer for a fun and educational experience. Through academics, a focus on social emotional learning, and active extension activities, the SCSD will ensure all students have access to high-quality learning experiences that will prepare them for the next school year. The Springfield Summer Experience will take place

June 6-30 (Monday through Thursday only) from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm.

Please note: All camps are free to SCSD families, and breakfast/lunch will be served daily. Before/after camp care is available.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: 

We look forward to spending extended time with your student over the summer for a fun and educational experience. The Springfield Summer Experience will take place in sessions -- Session 1: June 6-23 or Session 2: July 11-28. 

(Monday through Thursday only) from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm. There are three distinct opportunities for summer learning for future and current high school students.

Option 1: Wildcats Rise -This program is for students who will be in the 9th grade in the 2022-2023 school year.  This program is designed to give those students the tools necessary to begin a successful high school career.  Emphasis will be placed on academic and course scheduling, study skills, and ways to become involved in the high school community. 

Option 2: Credit Recovery- This program is for those students who need to recover credits not earned during the school year.  Courses will be offered in English, Math, Science and Social Studies as well as PE (Physical Education.)

Option 3: Credit Seeking - This program is for those students who wish to expand their learning and complete coursework in advance of the upcoming school year.
