The Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops, featuring former Teays Valley High School standout Tyler Mathews, earned an 11-0 victory over the Covenant Scots in their NCAA Division III baseball game on Monday, March 9, at 3 p.m.
The contest was hosted at Covenant Baseball Field and marked the fourth time the teams met this season. Ohio Wesleyan also secured a win in the earlier game that day, finishing 6 to 2 over the Scots.
Mathews contributed two innings on the mound and logged one strikeout.
The Battling Bishops are next scheduled to play at Littick Field against the Capital Comets on Wednesday, March 18, at 1 p.m.
