State Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) announced that the Ohio House of Representatives has passed House Resolution 243. This resolution urges the Secretary of the Air Force to select the 121st Air Refueling Wing at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base as the main operating base for the KC-46 Pegasus refueling aircraft.
“The KC-46 is a top priority for the Ohio National Guard, and Rickenbacker is fully equipped to support this important mission,” said Rep. Richardson. “By passing House Resolution 243, we send a clear message of support to our military and demonstrate Ohio’s continued leadership in defense.”
The Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base is located within four hours of 60% of all Department of Defense customers and within six to eight hours of nearly 80% of potential customers. The base also benefits from being in an area with low risk for natural disasters and weather-related disruptions.
House Resolution 243 has now been adopted.
