State Representative Tracy Richardson from Marysville has announced the successful passage of Senate Bill 39. This legislation aims to enhance awareness among veterans about the benefits and services available to them.

The bill mandates that the Director of Commerce, alongside the Director of Veterans Services, design a poster detailing veterans’ benefits and services. The Department of Commerce is also required to distribute this poster free of charge to employers upon request.

“In Ohio, we strive to champion the needs of veterans because of their loyal and dedicated service to our country,” stated Rep. Richardson. “We want to make sure veterans know that we support them and have their backs. This bill will help ensure that our veterans are aware of the services and resources available to them, and we hope employers can help spread the word through these informative posters.”

The initiative seeks to address the issue where many veterans remain unaware of their entitled benefits, with employers being encouraged to aid in disseminating this information.

Senate Bill 39 is now set for review by the Governor for final approval.
