Malone Pioneers fall 19-6 to Findlay Oilers in NCAA Division II baseball matchup

The Malone Pioneers, featuring former Teays Valley High School standout Ben France, were defeated 19-6 on Sunday, March 15, in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Findlay Oilers.

The matchup was held at Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium and marked the teams’ fourth meeting this season. Earlier that same day, the Pioneers also dropped a game to the Oilers with a 7-2 final.

France surrendered five earned runs over 1.1 innings, tallying three walks and one strikeout.

The Pioneers will play again at Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, March 17, with a noon start against the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets.
